WAX’s pioneering “metaverse” game, Apex Conquest, has launched an exciting new Collaboration Commanders system that allows players to use NFTs from various WAX collections as playable characters in the game. This innovative cross-collection integration opens up Apex Conquest to a wider range of NFT assets, fostering collaboration and interconnectivity within the WAX ecosystem.
This Update enables players to create decks using eligible NFTs from their wallets, including select Crews from Alien Worlds, Heroes from Realms of Arkovia, official Spider-Man collectibles, and, most notably, profile picture (PFP) NFTs from collections like Castles NFT, vBots, vPunks, and Barbarians, with more collections to be added soon.
To participate, players simply need to visit the “DECKS” screen within the game and create a new deck. Eligible NFTs from their wallets will automatically appear, allowing them to assemble their troops and commence battles against the Dark Gate, earning tokens from across the WAX Metaverse.

About Apex Conquest
Apex Conquest has been a staple of the WAX ecosystem since its inception in the Summer of 2022, bringing together various WAX tokens into a cohesive gaming experience. Players use Commanders and Troops to battle the Dark Gate, a metaphorical bridge between worlds, with the goal of earning tokens from the game’s token pools.
Troops are obtained by purchasing packs using supported WAX tokens, which are added to the Dark Gate contract and made available as loot for players who successfully attack those token pools.
However, success is not guaranteed; it depends on the combination of Troops and the Commander’s experience level, with the possibility of losing Troops during battles while Commanders remain safe.
Victories earn players Victory Points, Experience, and tokens, while losses result in Loss Points but reduced Troop losses. Commanders require Morale to battle, which is recharged using Commendations purchased with any token in the system. Tactics cards can also be added to decks to modify success rates, carry capacity, and strategic depth.
Future Developments Apex Conquest has several exciting features planned for the future, including:
- Experience Bottles: Players will be able to mint Experience Bottles using WAX and 11 Experience points from any Commander, allowing them to transfer 10 Experience points to another Commander of their choice.
- Commander Reward Wheel: By spending 5x Experience points from any Commander, players can spin a reward wheel to receive random NFT rewards from Apex Conquest or upcoming Partner Collection NFT pools.
- Fortresses, Barracks, and Tactics Office: The introduction of mighty Troops, multiplayer features, and the ability to craft Tactics cards using the FORT token or level up Fortresses with friends for group-based benefits.
Apex Conquest has opened partnerships opportunities with NFT collection owners to include their PFPs or assets in the Collaboration Commanders system, create Collaboration Commanders, or have their tokens featured in Apex Conquest.
